1. Who we are and what this site is

casino-pialasport.com.ng (the "Site") is an independent information website publishing reviews, guides and comparisons about Pialasport and other casino and betting platforms available to players in Nigeria. The Site is operated by its editorial team, and under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) we act as the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy.

We are not Pialasport and we are not a gaming operator. We do not accept deposits, hold player funds, open accounts, run casino games, set odds, settle bets, process withdrawals or perform identity verification. We have no access to your Pialasport account, balance, betting history or any document you upload there. If you click through to an operator, everything that happens on that platform is governed by the operator's own privacy policy and terms, not by this one.

Pialasport does not, to our knowledge, hold a Nigerian gaming licence. We publish information about the platform; we do not verify or guarantee its legal status, financial stability or payout practices, and we cannot assist with account, deposit or withdrawal disputes on any operator's platform. Whether and where to gamble is your own decision and your own risk.

"Pialasport" and other brand names and logos on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively for identification only. Their use does not imply partnership, sponsorship or endorsement beyond a commercial referral relationship where one exists, as disclosed in section 5.

2. What data we collect

The Site is informational, so we collect very little. Browsing casino-pialasport.com.ng does not require your name, phone number, address, bank details or any identity document, and you should never send such documents to us.

Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard server log data on each page load: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages requested, referring URL, and date and time of the request. This is generated by the server and used to keep the Site running and to investigate errors and abuse.

Our analytics tool records pseudonymous usage data such as pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, city-level location derived from IP, device category and traffic source. We use it in aggregate, we do not try to identify individual visitors from it, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Affiliate tracking cookies and URL parameters may be set when you click an outbound link to an operator. They record only that the visit came from this Site, together with a campaign or sub-ID used for attribution. They contain no name, contact details or financial information, and they do not tell us what you do on the operator's site beyond aggregate conversion counts.

If you use our contact form or email us, we receive what you choose to include — typically a name or nickname, an email address and the content of your message. If you subscribe to email updates, we hold your email address and subscription status.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

Purpose Data used Lawful basis under the NDPA
Serving the Site, security, bot and abuse mitigation Server logs, IP address Legitimate interest
Measuring traffic and improving content Analytics data Consent
Attributing referrals to affiliate partners Affiliate cookie, sub-ID Consent
Replying to your message Contact form data Legitimate interest / your request
Sending email updates Email address Consent
Complying with a lawful request or defending a legal claim Any of the above Legal obligation / legitimate interest

Where we rely on consent, you give it through the cookie banner or by subscribing, and you may withdraw it at any time by changing your cookie preferences, clearing cookies in your browser, or using the unsubscribe link. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off, but they do not track you across other websites.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for site delivery and security, preference cookies that remember choices such as language or theme, analytics cookies, and affiliate attribution cookies with a typical lifetime of 30 days. Non-essential cookies are set only after you accept them in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer, and you can block or delete cookies entirely in your browser — the Site will still work, though saved preferences will reset.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers who help us operate the Site, each acting under contract and only for the purposes we set: our hosting provider Hostinger, our CDN and security provider Cloudflare, our analytics provider Google Analytics 4, our email delivery service Mailchimp where you subscribe, and the affiliate networks and tracking platforms that record referrals to operators.

We earn commission when a visitor registers or deposits with an operator after clicking a link from this Site. That commission costs you nothing extra and does not change the terms you receive. What the affiliate partner receives is attribution data — that a click originated here — not your identity.

We may also disclose data where legally required, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

6. International transfers

Our hosting, analytics and email providers may store or process data on servers outside Nigeria, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that happens we rely on the transfer conditions in Part VII of the NDPA — transfers to jurisdictions offering adequate protection, or under contractual safeguards imposed on the provider. You may ask us which provider handles a given category of data and on what basis.

7. How long we keep it

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Analytics data is retained for 14 months and thereafter kept only in aggregated form. Affiliate attribution cookies expire after 30 days. Correspondence sent through the contact form or by email is kept for 12 months from the last message, unless a longer period is needed to handle a dispute. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain a minimal suppression record so that we do not contact you again in error. Once a period expires, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

8. Security

The Site runs over HTTPS throughout, its components are kept patched, administrative access is limited to named accounts protected by strong authentication, and our CDN provides baseline protection against automated attacks. No website can be guaranteed completely secure. Because we hold no financial or identity data, the practical risk from this Site is low — but be careful what you send us by email, and never share an operator password with anyone, including us.

9. Your rights

Under the NDPA you may ask what personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask for corrections, request deletion, object to processing based on legitimate interest, request restriction, and withdraw consent. In practice most requests here concern cookies or email updates, and both can be resolved immediately through your browser settings or the unsubscribe link, without contacting us.

For anything else, write to privacy@casino-pialasport.com.ng. We respond within 30 days. Because we hold no identity data, we may be unable to link a request to a specific individual — in that case we will explain what we can and cannot do rather than ask you for more identifying information than we already hold.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng, the supervisory authority for data protection in Nigeria.

10. Age restriction and responsible gambling

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that a subscriber is under 18 we will delete their data. Gambling involves a real risk of financial loss and can become harmful. If it is affecting your life, see our Responsible Gambling page for warning signs, self-help tools and independent support contacts.

11. Links to other sites

Outbound links lead to operators and third-party resources we do not control. Their data practices and security are their own responsibility and we are not liable for them. Read their policies before registering or submitting documents anywhere.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the law or the Site changes. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
